Shipping Policy

Basic Shipping Info:

Because Herbal Extracts Plus manufactures all of our own products, it is very rare for us to be "Out of Stock" on any of the items listed in our website or product catalogs.  However, due to our recent facility upgrades, new equipment, procedures, and testing capabilities, please allow up to 2-4 business days for normal order processing, as each order is custom-prepared for individual shipment. (A Customer Service Representative will contact you if there will be any delay in your order beyond that time frame).

The following is a basic guideline to our standard shipping timetable:

  • Orders placed on any business day will be shipped within 2-4 business days.
  • Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays, or Holidays will be processed the next business day and shipped within 2-4 business days.
  • UPS orders must be received by 7:00 am EST Monday through Friday in order to be shipped the same day.   If orders for UPS shipping are placed after that time, the order will be shipped before the end of the next business day.
  • Please Note: UPS does not count Saturday as a delivery business day. If your UPS shipping method will result in delivery on a Monday, and you want it on Saturday, you must call to place your order with a customer service representative and ask for Saturday delivery on your order. An additional $15 fee applies.

All orders require a correct and complete shipping address.  In the event that packages are returned to us due to insufficient address, you will be contacted for clarification of the shipping address and the order will be subject to additional shipping charges if applicable.  Please be sure to give us at least one form of contact information (telephone, fax or e-mail), so that we are able to contact you about your order. UPS CANNOT deliver to PO Boxes.

When filling out your address information, please be as complete as possible. Do not use abbreviations or unnecessary punctuation marks and, if sending to a PO Box, please do not use the POB abbreviation. Please also do not use dashes or spaces if your address does not require them. If you live in an apartment, suite, unit, trailor, lot, or other similar place, please use the correct term along with the number. Our shipping system verifies addresses through the United States Postal Service. If you have any concerns about your address once you've submitted your order, please send us an e-mail or give us a call as soon as you can so that we can make sure that it is corrected by the time the package is ready to be shipped.

All Air Freight and International orders require both a correct and complete shipping address, along with a valid telephone number.  Carriers will impose a return service charge for any incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses. This charge will be passed on to our customers if we find that they neglected to provide complete shipping information.

Shipping Options & Costs - USA:

When submitting your order, you will need to select an appropriate Shipping Method during the Checkout process. The choices available for delivery in the USA are:

  • USPS Priority Mail - Flat-rate fee of $6.50* - According to the United States Postal Service, the Priority Mail shipping method takes 2-3 business days to deliver. Herbal Extracts Plus offers this shipping method free of charge when the total merchandise amount for an order reaches $100 for any customer living within the continental United States. Residents of Hawaii and Alaska will be subject to the regular flat fee. *Rate updated as of 11/2/11
  • UPS (United Parcel Service) 3-Day Select - Real-time rate based on weight** - UPS 3-Day Select service will deliver to your shipping address within three (3) business days of shipment. Please be aware that we require a valid recipient phone number to be listed on the shipping label in order for the carrier to contact you in case there are delivery problems. UPS 3-Day Select does provide a Tracking Number should there be any issues with delivery. This shipping service will not deliver to P.O. Boxes. Saturday is not considered a regular business delivery day by UPS; please refer to the table at the top of this page. If your shipment shows delivery on a Monday and you would like to receive it on Saturday, follow the instructions for choosing our Saturday delivery option. **Rate updated as of 1/15/10
  • UPS (United Parcel Service) 2nd Business Day - Real-time rate based on weight - UPS 2nd Day service will deliver to your shipping address within two (2) business days of shipment. Please be aware that we require a valid recipient phone number to be listed on the shipping label in order for the carrier to contact you in case there are delivery problems. UPS 2nd Day does provide a Tracking Number should there be any issues with delivery.  This shipping service will not deliver to P.O. Boxes. Saturday is not considered a regular business delivery day by UPS; please refer to the table at the top of this page. A $2.00 insurance fee is included in the shipping cost. This service will deliver to your shipping address within 3-5 business days to most international destinations depending on your location. Delivery time is approximated by the United States Postal Service and is not a guarantee that your package will arrive in that time frame. This approximation does not include time spent in foreign customs, which we have no control over. Please be aware that we require a valid recipient phone number to be listed on the shipping label in order for the carrier to contact you in case there are delivery problems. USPS Global Express Guaranteed does provide a Tracking Number, should there be any issues with delivery.

Please Note:   International Shipments (outside the USA) have different laws regarding herbal products and supplements.  You, the purchaser, are solely responsible for knowing the laws and regulations appropriate for your area, and for abiding by those laws.  Herbal Extracts Plus will not assume any liability for product shipments that are not otherwise available for over-the-counter use in other areas. Additionally, the purchaser is solely responsible for any associated import duties imposed. If packages are returned to us because you refuse to pay import duties to receive your package, Herbal Extracts Plus will refund your credit card for 80% of the product purchase price of the items returned (less twice your shipping charge -as we must pay our carrier the same shipping charge to return your order to us).

Please be sure to select one of the two INTERNATIONAL shipping option when submitting your online order. If you incorrectly select a USA shipping option, this will cause a delay in processing your order. If you do not choose an appropriate shipping method, we will assign the cheapest one to your order.

International Restrictions - Shipping, Import, and Customs Issues

It is the customer's responsibility to make sure that they are allowed to import nutritional supplements from the U.S. into their respective countries.  If Customs officials in your country return your order to us, either because you did not have permission to import such supplements or because such supplements are banned in your country, we will refund your credit card the amount equal to 80% of the product purchase price (less twice your shipping charge -as we must pay our carrier the same shipping charge to return your order to us).   Please check with your country's Customs regulations to make sure that you are permitted to import nutritional supplements from the U.S.

Important Notice:   Customs, in rare instances, may confiscate shipments containing locally prohibited products from getting through to their respective countries.  In the rare case in which your shipment is confiscated, Herbal Extracts Plus accepts no financial responsibility, and therefore  will not offer any refunds for your order. Additionally, Herbal Extracts Plus is not responsible for packages once they have left our shipping facility. Refunds or replacements will not be granted for errors due to the delivery system chosen for shipment of your order.

For Your Information: we have encountered repeated Customs-related issues with shipments going to many International destinations.

Unclaimed shipments

If we receive a recent returned shipment marked unclaimed by the postal service, an Herbal Extracts Plus representative will attempt to contact you about reshipment. Please note that a reshipment fee will be assessed to cover the additional shipping charges.

A refund will be processed immediately for unclaimed packages returned to us if:

  • The package has been held for delivery for 15 days or more, and
  • The customer has not contacted Herbal Extracts Plus in the meantime to alert us that the package has not yet arrived.

Please note that if you have received free shipping on the unclaimed order due to our free standard shipping offer, the actual shipping costs will be deducted from your refund to be applied to what Herbal Extracts Plus paid to ship the order.

It is your responsibility to follow up on delivery of your order with the shipping carrier chosen. Herbal Extracts Plus is not responsible for packages once they have left our facility.
