Purpose of Formulation:

Ingredients:
A mixture of 75% Horse Chestnut and 25% Calendula 4:1. Our products contain 100% pure plant-based/natural materials using no fillers, grains, yeast, sugars, binders, excipients, starches, or synthetic materials.
 Horse Chestnut is mainly used to protect against vascular damage. The herb tones the walls of blood vessels, making capillary walls less porous and helping to prevent veins from becoming slack or swollen. The presence of aescin (a complex mix of saponins) strengthens and relaxes blood vessels (a vasodilator), which largely influences the circulatory system. This action helps to relieve the vascular fullness associated with varicose veins (associated with poor venous return or raised abdominal pressure), phlebitis, swollen ankles, chilblains (swelling caused by exposure to cold and dampness) and leg pain (including nighttime leg spasms) and local edema. As a vasodilator, Horse Chestnut has a beneficial effect on the circulatory system, and the increased circulation of blood is said to improve many circulatory problems, including hardening of the arteries and blood clots.
 Calendula soothes! Its pain-killing, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities have been used for centuries in alternative medicine to ease skin infections, skin irritations, wounds and injuries and conditions that include eczema, herpes, gingivitis, varicose veins, athlete's foot, ulcerations, bowel problems, diaper rash and hemorrhoids. Calendula has a long history as a superior antibacterial when used internally and externally and is thought to be similar to Witch Hazel, due to its natural iodine content, and may be used as a local application to heal all types of skin problems. Calendula reduces inflammation and is soothing to the skin, and some consider this herb to be the best tissue healer for wounds. Old-time herbal doctors believed that constant applications of Calendula would help or even prevent gangrene or tetanus. Calendula is widely used in cosmetics for its toning and soothing effects.
Recommended Dosage:
Take one (1) capsule, one (1) to two (2) times each day with water at mealtimes, particularly in the evening.
Contraindications:
There have been isolated reports of kidney damage in persons receiving very large quantities of intravenous aescin, however oral Horse Chestnut products (such as this product offering) have not been associated with kidney damage. Regardless, Horse Chestnut should be avoided by anyone with liver or kidney disease. Do not use this product if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Capsule Size:
We use only 100% Gluten-free, Vegetable Cellulose, Certified Kosher, size "00" capsules for all of our encapsulated products. Each capsule contains approximately 600 mgs of powdered herb material.
